What are you Looking Forward to in December?

Photo from Pinterest.

So it's almost December, the most wonderful time of the year. Okay, not my fave time of year, but other peoples. Summer is the most wonderful time of the year to me. Anyway, there's lots of holiday get togethers, cookie swaps, tree lightings etc... What are you looking forward to? We have our town tree lighting this Saturday, I'm going away over night to my friend's cabin scrapbooking overnight, We're going to our friend's house on X-mas eve, X-mas at our house, New year's eve at our house & not sure what else might come up in between that. Honestly out of all of that, I'm mostly looking forward to going away scrapbooking. I'm really behind & its been a year since we've gone away scrapbooking. It's nice getting away with friends sometimes.

Uncommon Goods Review

So the Holidays are upon us again. They seem to come so fast every year and I'm not ready for them. It seems like it was just August. I'm trying to get prepared, so I'm making lists of who I want to buy for and what I want to buy for them. You always want your gift to be unique. Have you heard of Uncommon Goods? They are a company that has fun and unique gifts for all occasions. They offer handmade, recycled and organic products. They were founded in 1999 and they are like an online craft fair. Handmade items from all over the world. You can read their story here.

If you are looking for Personalized wedding gifts they have lots to choose from, click here to see them.

Looking for Birthday ideas? Then click here. They have so many fun gifts. I'm all about my zodiac sign and I love crystal balls, so I thought these were really pretty.

This is the item that I got to review.

Sun wind chime click here to see more details. It's so pretty and very well made and sturdy. I love the way the glass looks in the sun. We have it hanging inside our house right now because it is almost winter. I like it inside, I think it adds color. We will put it outside in the Spring. The wind chime came with a card telling the artist's story. It's nice to read a little about the artist.

Maybe you are looking for a wedding anniversary gift, click here or any other type of gift for a special person you will find it at Uncommon Goods.

**Disclaimer: I was contacted by Uncommon Goods to do a review of one of their products. All opinions written on my blog are my very own.

5 Things I Wish I did When I was Younger

1. Lived in another state like California. It would have been kind of cool to live there for like a year. Maybe live near the beach.
2. Learned to speak French. I love the language.
3. Started scrapbooking when I was younger. I have so many pics, not sure if I'll ever get them all scrapbooked.
4.Had my own apartment. Without a room mate or my fiance. I would love to live on my own with maybe a few cats.
5. Gotten a Jeep. I just think they are fun & cool looking. Not sure how they are in the snow.

If you had a Million Dollars to donate to a Organization, What would it be?

Animals: I really love animals, so I would most likely donate to the local animal shelter. I volunteered there for a year with the dogs & cats. They're all so sweet & special. They all have their unique stories, a lot very sad.

Fibromyalgia/Chronic pain/fatigue: Having a chronic illness is really horrible. The doctors suggest things for you to try to help your pain. Heat packs/ice packs. magnesium, doing a cleanse, medications, yoga, meditation etc... None really help that much so you keep trying something else. People around you don't understand & you try your best to function as a normal healthy person, but some days you just can't. You push yourself & sometimes feel worse after. So If I could donate $ & it would really help them find something that works for people that would be so awesome.

Cancer: I don't really think I need to explain this. It is a horrible disease & so scary. My Dad had colon cancer in 1998 & survived. He is 79 now. My friend Marion just won her battle with colon cancer a few months ago. She is cancer free now & back to work & enjoying life again. Then we know there are people who get cancer & don't survive. Always get your annual exams & if things don't seem right go get checked, bumps or moles or pains in your stomach. I'm due for my colonoscopy. This will be my 3rd 1. Yes, I have kind of been putting it off, but I am going to call & hopefully have it done before Christmas or just after. Just need to find a good time to have it done. When someone can drive me to have it done.

So what would be your charity or organization that means the most to you & you would donate $ to?

This is such a pretty sapphire blue. It's a Wet N' Wild mini, so no name. In the bottle it looks like a silvery blue.

Stuff & Things

Stuff, Things, etc.

--Lately I've been overwelmed with so much going on . I'm trying to keep track of things, which is hard when you have fibro fog. But I'm working on my planner to make sure I don't forget anything.

--Thanksgiving at our house next week. I hope it can be drama free. I'm prepared with black tourmaline, sage spray & some other thingd. My new age girl stuff.

--Shinedown concert next Friday. It's going to be so much fun. I'm excited to see Sixx Am too.
Woohoo. I don't have much time to figure out something to wear. Tara will be wearing 1 of my Shinedown shirts.

--Hubs is going to IN for work. Ugh. At least it's only for 3 days this time.

--I'm going away for a Girls scrapbooking weekend in Dec. It's been a year since we had 1. I want to get all my pictures from this year scrapbooked, so hopefully this weekend will help.

--I'm working on a few reviews, so that is fun.

Stuff & Things

This pic was taken back in August. That is my friend Renee's face inside the troll if you look carefully.

--Yesterday we went to see the movie "Trolls" with some friends. I really didn't know what it was about ahead of time, but it was really cute. We got home & soon after our internet, phone & wi-fi went out. This was around 2:40 (yes in the middle of General hospital). It was out until 9:00am this morning. T doesn't know what to do with herself without wi-fi or the tv. So she was really unhappy. I didn't get to post a blog post because of no wi-fi.
--Went to a fun craft fair today. I got 2 bracelets & a rose quartz crystal. This is 1 of the bigger craft fairs that I really like & have been going to for the past 3 years at least. We even bought our 1st Christmas present for Tara's teacher.
--This week I want to continue organizing my office & crafting. I was on a roll on Thursday & was really productive & then T was off of school for Veteran's day yesterday. I hope to continue this week.
-- I have lots of doctors appointments coming up. This Wednesday I have the dentist. I want to get all of this stuff done & out of the way.
