1 of my favorite New England restaurants is The Common Man. The restaurants are all warm & cozy & have great food. They have 18 different restaurants all over New Hampshire.

Cute as a cupcake

I got this picture today @ Christmas tree shop for my office. I love cupcake art (stationery, stickers, embellishments). I wish it was chocolate though.

Nailpolish love

Recently Zoya nailpolish was looking for more followers on their Facebook page. If they reached a certain amount of followers they were going to give away 3 free nailpolishes to everyone that signed up (we just had to pay shipping $6.95). So I got Adina (purple), Shavon (pinkish-reddish) & Kotari (blue).

Our local Walmart finally got Wet & Wild's Beetle nailpolish. It was on my Christmas stocking list, but it seems like Santa couldn't find it. It came with this cute purple heart ring. I love the color. It's on my thumb & pointer fingers.

I also noticed these new scented Revlon nailpolishes. I was going to buy the blueberry one, but I took a pic & totally forgot to put it in my cart.

CSN stores review coming soon

It's almost that time again, for another CSN stores review. I'm really looking forward to doing another review for them. I'm really loving the wall art & decor that they have. We have a wall in Tara's room that needs to be filled up. I will be checking out allmodern.com to see what they have on there. You can find wallpaper, vases, accent chairs, candles, coffee tables & end tables & lots more on there.
Don't forget CSN Stores has over 200+ online stores. Valentine's day will be here in a few shorts weeks.

Boots addict

I got these Ugg boots for X-mas. I had a pic of them before on here.
Then I got these Skechers shape ups boots (sorry the pic is so small)

Then I found these Bearpaw boots @ Macys for $60, so I got those.

I saw these boots below in Forever 21, but they didn't have my size. I'll probably end up ordering them online.

I've always been obsessed with boots, but this Winter it has been really bad. Everywhere I go I see people walking around with cute boots on & I want every pair.

Friday Favorites

Some of my recent Favorites are~

1. C.O. Bigelow Rose salve. I've seen in quite a few celebrities mention loving this product in magazines. I had been wanting to try it. Then I got a gift card for B&B works for X-mas & noticed on the website that they have it. So I got 1 & have been using it on my lips, hands & heels & it works great. I really need it this time of year in New England. My hands usually crack in the Winter.

2. Cold Stone Creamery Hot Chocolate. I bought the dark chocolate. It's sooo yummy. I originally bought the 70 callorie hot choc, but it has aspertame in it, which makes me sick, so I went & got the regular dark chocolate.

3. Whole living magazine. I recently saw good deal on 1 of the savings blogs that I follow, so I signed up for a free subscription to this magazine. Lots of good info in here.

Handy Hubby

I'm so glad that I have a Handy Hubby. He put in a new faucet in our bathroom a few weeks ago. It's so much better than the 30 year old faucet that was there. The bad thing is T now plays with it all-the-time. The old one she couldn't turn on. It's also easier to burn yourself on it. I've done it a few times already.

The next projects that he is going to do, is paint the downstairs bathroom & the upstairs bathroom & he's going to build a shelf for the bathroom & 2 for the kitchen. Can't wait.

Popular girl

Every January we have tons of birthday parties to go to. These are some invitations that Tara already got. She has 5 friends with January b-days. She went to her 1st 1 today. It was @ a plaster place. T decided to paint a fish. It came out really cute. She has a party next Saturday & the following Sat. too.

New England Minute

I thought I would do a weekly post on New England. Websites, shops, restaurants, food (maybe recipes) & lots more. There is a new magazine out called Northeast Flavor.

They have featured restaurants, Destination towns, local chefs, recipes & more great pages.

Simply-bags review

I was contacted by Bob from Simply-bags to see if I wanted to review one of their totebags. They have many Personalized totebags to choose from. He sent me this cute red velvet tote.

There is a pocket with a zipper inside & it comes with a matching little wallet/coin purse that is hitched, so you won't lose it. It's very roomy to fit all of my stuff. You can have your name, initial or monagram added to it. The red velvet tote would be great to use @ Christmas-time or maybe for your Valentine date night or anytime of year. Go to Simply-bags if you are looking for cute tote bags, diaper bags, cosmetic bags, beach bags etc....

My friend Sprinkles told me about signing up for this card. I signed up in December, I think. The card came a few weeks ago & I used it for the 1st time today. You go once a month, on any Thursday & they give you a free gift & punch your card.

I went today & got a free lemon germ gel (T picked it out), a holder & a full-size Sea Island Cotton soap.

The Middle

I love the show, "The Middle". I think it's really funny & being a parent I can relate, even though I only have a toddler. It seems like not that many people know about the show. Check it out on Wednesday nights on ABC.

Journaling again

I haven't journaled in a few years. But decided to start again this year. It won't be everyday, just when fun/important things happen. I'll also be writing in my organizing plans for the week & adding pics from magazines & other photos.

This is a wine journal, but I thought it was really cute.

My word of the year~Organize

This year my word of the year is Organize (organization). I love to organize & am pretty good @ it, but not good @ keeping things organized. I bought a cute basket last week @ Christmas tree shop & 2 yesterday. Each week I am going to write down what I want to organize that week . I think having it written down will help me actually do it.

I got this polka dot tote @ X-mas tree shop. Not sure where I'm going to put it or what I'll put in it.

I got these 1s @ Target in the dollar section.

Hungry girl

We just got a new cable package & now we get the cooking channel. Hungry girl has a new show on there. I dvr'd it yesterday & watched it this morning. She did a show about pizza (my fave) & had a few really good recipes on there.

Fun finds

Got this cute stuff @ Christmas tree shop the other day. I got this pic for my office, since it's pink, black & white. Love girlie things.

I love this pillow below. I have it on the bed in my office (guest room) right now, but might put it in the living room @ the beginning of February.

1st day of pre-school

Today was T's 1st day of pre-school. We had originally planned on her going to school this September, but there was an opening at her friend's school for just Fridays. She did so good. Of course her friend ran up to her & hugged her, so that made things better. Also we knew the Mom that was volunteering today & she's really nice. It was hard to leave, but I was relieved that things were okay & she didn't cry.

It was only for 2 hrs, but I came home & cleaned & organized (I LOVE cleaning & organizing when no one is home). After I picked her up, I took her out to lunch & her friend from school & my Mom friend met us at McDonald's. The girls got matching dogs in their Happy Meal & it was a fun day.

52 tips for a better you

The Doctors tv show

It's a new year! Get 52 tips to better your health in 2011!
1. Try something new.
2. Make a New Year’s resolution.
3. Lift weights.
4. Have protein before a workout. You can drink a protein shake or drink a glass of milk.
5. Get out of your cardio rut.
6. Peel and eat an orange before a meal. It will force you to slow down, and it will fill
you up.
7. Carry cash, because studies found that people who pay for meals with cash make
healthier choices than those who pay with a credit card.
8. Eat at least one meal per week in complete silence by turning off the radio, TV and cell
phones while you eat.
9. Brush your teeth after eating.
10. Eat in front of a mirror. Studies have found that doing so cuts the amount you eat.
Looking at yourself while you eat may help remind you of your weight-loss goals.
11. Carry cinnamon sticks to help stop smoking. They are about the same size as a
cigarette and they offer a spicy sensation that’s pleasant in your mouth.
12. Carry honey straws to help stop smoking. They can serve as a replacement to
handling cigarettes, energize you and can even help soothe a lingering cough.
13. Drink ice-cold water through a straw to help stop smoking. It will stimulate brain
activity like a cigarette but without the toxins.
14. Fight acne with a nutmeg paste.
15. Soothe stomachaches with nutmeg.
16. Ease toothaches with nutmeg oil.
17. Drink pickle juice for sore muscles and cramps.
18. Remove nail stains with whitening toothpaste.
19. Treat blisters with antiseptic mouthwash.
20. Treat urinary tract infections by drinking a glass of ½ tsp. of baking soda and 8 oz.

26. Remove age spots with sake.
27. Give yourself a grape manicure.
28. Eat cheese to prevent wine-stained smiles.
29. Use apples to combat aging.
30. Moisturize before you shower to give your skin extra protection. The steam of the
shower will open up your pores for deeper moisturizing.
31. Hydrate from the inside out.
32. Eat foods that contain probiotics to break down allergens.
33. Use a nasal rinse to flush allergens and mucus.
34. Reduce dust mites.
35. Perform a summer skin check.
36. Avoid caffeine before a bikini wax.
37. Fight colds with eucalyptus oil.
38. Turn off the TV and engage in thought-provoking conversation to help spice up your
sex life.
39. Start surfing to relieve stress
40. Eat immunity-boosting foods like garlic, mushrooms and pistachios.
41. Treat childhood constipation with the four Ps: prunes, pears, plums and peaches.
42. Treat cradle cap with olive oil, then gently remove the crust with a soft toothbrush.
43. To ease earaches, apply a warm washcloth to the ear or put a few drops of warm olive
or garlic oil into your child’s ear. Test the temperature of the oil beforehand, to make sure
it isn’t too hot. Consult with your doctor if your child experiences an earache, and don’t
put anything in the ear if it is draining fluid or pus.

steamed so they retain their health benefits.

and beans instead.

BFF's

Yesterday we had some of our friends over for New years day. We ordered pizza & sat around & talked. They handed me a bag & said that it was just a little something. I had gotten them matching best friend necklaces. So they gave me this necklace & the bracelet below. I was so surprised. We had already exchanged Christmas gifts.

I hope that someday Tara has some good/close friends as good as mine.
